If you've got football fever and need to get the latest news and updates for Euro 2016 straight from the source, check out the UEFA Euro 2016 Official App for a great collection of sports information.

Pick your favourite teams and players, then track their progress throughout the tournament – and if you have your own Fantasy Football league, you can even use the stats from this app to fine-tune your own team of players!

The UEFA Euro 2016 Official App is great for making sure you don't miss an important game, and gives a huge amount of information on stadiums as well as players and teams. If you're more interested in having fun than reading statistics, check out the 'Fan Zone' for match and bracket predictors, Fantasy Football links – and even access to the Panini Online Sticker Album!

You'll always be prepared for any game in the tournament with this app installed on your smartphone – so make sure to keep it on you for instant push notifications whenever something interesting happens.

If you've got exciting events coming up – like preparing for a wedding, going on holiday or something equally important – what better time to start making a diary? Journey is a great little app for documenting your daily activities, with each entry marked on a calendar just like a regular diary.

What makes Journey different, though, is that you can easily add photos, video and even location data to your journal entries – making it a very powerful tool for keeping track of what you're up to!

I like Journey because of its simplicity. It may seem like a complicated app at first, but it's remarkably easy to use. Tapping the 'plus' button takes you straight to a fresh page, where you can type out whatever's important to you.

You can assign your entry to a particular date if, for example, you're writing something ahead of schedule. You can also use tags at the bottom of the app, adding important information like your location, the current weather, your activity level and even photos to go alongside your diary entry!

If you're looking for more than just your usual diary app, Journey is definitely worth checking out. If you like it and want access to a couple of extra features, like night mode and no ads, check out the Premium tab in the app menu – where you can upgrade for £3.89.

android apps waterHydro Coach drink water

Codium App Ideas
Free

Hydro Coach is a great tool for reminding you when it's time to drink some water – which is even more important during the summer, when the sun is out and the temperatures are high. Staying hydrated not only helps you stay cool, but also helps control your appetite and helps keep your body in good working order.

This app is definitely a worthwhile one to keep on your smartphone: it simply notifies you when it's time to drink another glass. You can choose from a variety of glass sizes as your preferred glass, then tap a button when you drink a full glass to check it off in the app!

If you use Google Fit, S Health or Fitbit, you can even sync your biometric data to Hydro Coach, so it can work out the optimum amount of water you need in your day, based on your activities, size, age and weight.

Skyscanner - All Flights / Skyscanner Hotels / Skyscanner - Car Hire

The summer holidays are fast approaching, and if you're planning on going abroad you'll want to make sure you have everything covered! Travel, accommodation and transport are all important to consider when going away – which is why Skyscanner's range of travel apps are definitely worth grabbing for your smartphone or tablet.

My top Skyscanner app is Skyscanner – All Flights, which helps you pick a good flight at a great price. Pick your nearest airport, choose a destination then take a look at a monthly breakdown of journey prices. You'll see how far in advance you'll need to book your journey to get a reasonable price – and once you tap on the most affordable month, you can lower costs even further by checking which individual dates have the cheapest flights. With a bit of experimentation you'll find the perfect price for you!

Other great apps from Skyscanner are Skyscanner Hotels, which can help you find the most affordable accommodation from over half a million hotels worldwide, and Skyscanner – Car Hire which browses through plenty of different car hire companies, allowing you to compare and contrast different cars, features and prices – so you can be sure to drive exactly what you feel comfortable with.

If you need some help planning your vacation, make sure to check out the Skyscanner apps for Android this summer.

That wraps things up for June's pick of the best apps for your Android device – but if there's anything you've been using that we haven't mentioned, be sure to let us know in the comments below!
