MICROSOFT WALLPAPER AND THEMES
You may think this is a bit of an easy one, but Microsoft actually do make some impressive desktop art that you can browse, download and set as your background.
And right now there are plenty of festive ones to grab too! Microsoft also offer a range of themes - these are a combination of desktop art, colour schemes, and sounds that can be downloaded as a set package. Once you download and install the theme, it sets your wallpaper, colour and sound scheme for you.

This is one of personal favourites, as it contains some absolutely stunning artwork for your desktop - all sourced from gaming. Every picture is an intricately made, in-game screenshot, showcasing the graphic power of the game as well as some of the action. Even if you're not a big gamer, you should definitely check it out as some of the work is unbelievably eye-catching.
SIMPLE DESKTOPS
If you're more a fan of minimal desktop wallaper, but still want something that looks great, then look no further than Simple Desktops.
