So, the moment that every football fan has been waiting for (since Leicester City won the Premiership, anyway) has arrived – Euro 2016 kicks off today! But how can you watch it?

At Home

Television

The best news of all (for football lovers, at least – their partners may disagree) is that every game at Euro 2016 will be shown on terrestrial TV in the UK, with coverage split fairly evenly between the BBC and ITV, right through to the final whistle on July 10th.

In addition, S4C will be showing all of Wales' games for the duration of their involvement. Whether your TV consumption is powered by Sky, Virgin Media, BT Vision or Freeview/Freesat, every game is at your fingertips – assuming you can find the remote control!

If you have a Smart TV, you may also have access to apps such as the BBC Sport app, which hosts enhanced content covering the build-up to games as well as lively discussion afterwards.

Computer

Watching your choice of games on a computer or laptop couldn't be easier. Head over to the BBC iPlayer or ITV Hub website, and dive straight into the action!

Don't forget that you'll need to have a valid TV licence that covers your home address in order to watch BBC live broadcasts, even through a website or an app.

Connected devices

Choosing a Now TV box, Roku media streamer or Amazon Fire stick will give you access to both the BBC iPlayer and ITV Hub apps, in addition to a wide range of other content, smply by connecting them to your home broadband's wireless router.

If you're a console gamer with a PlayStation 3 or 4, or a Microsoft XBox 360 or XBox One, then there are BBC iPlayer apps available through both platforms' online stores. Unfortunately, ITV haven't launched a version of the ITV Hub for either console – so you're going to be limited to around half of the games on your console. At least you can watch the final!

On the move

If you find yourself away from your television at any point in the next five weeks, you can still follow every game – as long as you have an internet connection on your mobile device!

Agent tip

Streaming video can consume a lot of data, so we'd recommend connecting to Wi-Fi whenever possible to help avoid excess data charges!

Watch the games on your mobile or tablet

bbc iplayerThe BBC iPlayer app is available through the App Store for iPhone and iPad users, Google's Play Store for Android, and Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 10 Mobile users can download it through the Windows Store.

Every match broadcast on ITV will be simulcast via the ITV Hub app, which is also available through the App Store, Play Store and Windows Store.

To get the best experience we'd recommend using Wi-Fi when streaming video through iPlayer or the ITV Hub. A Wi-Fi connection is usually more reliable, and you're not likely to be charged much (if anything) for the privilege. Agent Lee has calculated you'll need at least 5GB of mobile data to follow your team all the way to the final (if they get there!) so it's definitely something to keep in mind!

Listen to the match on your mobile device

If you're sat out in the sunshine (assuming we get some!) it might be more practical to listen to the match through the radio rather than trying to watch it on your mobile phone or tablet.

The BBC's coverage on Radio 5 Live is available on all major platforms through the BBC iPlayer Radio app (App Store, Play Store, Windows Store) or if you're an avid TalkSport fan, then their app offers live commentary of every game at Euro 2016 - download it from the App Store or the Play Store today!

If you'd rather just install one app, then Tune In radio offers a wide number of radio stations for iPhone and Android users.

So there's our quick run-down on how to stay abreast of every ball kicked in the tournament. With all of these options, you've no excuse for missing any of the matches - unless you're at work or school, I suppose!
